More than just breastfeeding!

Lactation Support and Newborn Care.

Suzette S Scott, CPNP-PC, IBCLC

Suzette is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care (CPNP-PC) and an international board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). She has been a registered nurse for almost 30 years. As a registered nurse, she has assisted breastfeeding mothers for more than 20 years, while providing care in various areas of nursing. She has worked in newborn nursery, special care nurse, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), mother-baby, labor and delivery and pediatrics. She became a nurse practitioner in 2013 and has continued to help breastfeeding mothers in the pediatric primary care setting. After many years of practice, she became credentialed as an IBCLC in 2020. Her transition into the IBCLC role came naturally, thanks to family members she saw breastfeeding as a child, and learning from breastfeeding mentors along her personal and professional journey.
